The Vietnamese Buddhists Co Lam Pagoda Temple in Seattle has an amazing statue garden and this Quan Yin Statue is one of my favorites. Quan Yin is known as the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion. She is the goddess with a motherly compassion, she who hears the cries of the people. A great protector and benefactor, her heart is full of deep compassion and unconditional love. Quan Yin or Kwan Yin is a well-known deity not only in China, but also in Korea, Japan, Malaysia, as well as with numerous Buddhism followers around the world.
