I got to visit this amazing bodhisattva buddha statue at the Midamerica Buddhist Temple in Augusta just outside St. Louis this fall. They have many buddha statues to enjoy but this is the one they are most known for. In Mahayana Buddhism, bodhisattva is the Sanskrit term meaning awaken one. A bodhisattva is a person that has generated Bodhicitta, a wish to attain enlightenment.
