Mount Rushmore Faces National Monument Fine Art Photograph

Driving the beautiful Route 90 from West to East, Mount Rushmore is hard to drive by. The Black Hills Region of South Dakota was one of my favorite areas and more beautiful than I had imagined. The thing that moved me the most was the shear amount of determination and work it took to carve the faces into the rock. It took 14 years and 400 workers to sculpt the colossal 60 foot high carvings of U.S. presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln to represent the first 130 years of American history.
