I found this amazing Tibetan Seated Bronze Buddha Statue at the Toledo Museum of Art. Dressed in monastic clothing, sitting in a lotus position, left hand in a dhyana mudra gesture of meditation. His right hand is in the bhumisparsa mudra, in which the hand extends to touch the earth. It symbolizes the precise moment when the awakening Buddha, Shakyamuni, vanquished the army of Mara beneath the bodhi tree and summoned the goddess of the earth, Sthavara, to bear witness to his countless acts of sacrifice.
