Chicago Public Library's 9th floor Winter Garden is the architectural centerpiece of the Harold Washington Library Center. The space is one of the marvels of visiting the south loop in Chicago. Besides the beautiful marble floor, it is the 52-foot glass-paneled dome ceiling spanning the entire room that captured my attention. It feels like you are outside or in a conservatory of light.
